Author Daniel Breen approached me to illustrate a heartfelt children's book celebrating the life of a beloved family dog, creating a meaningful gift for his wife filled with treasured memories. My goal was to capture the warmth, personality, and playful spirit of each story through expressive sketches finished with a digital ink and wash style that felt both timeless and personal. The illustrations helped transform cherished family moments into a visual narrative that balanced humor with heartfelt emotion. The finished book was exactly what Daniel envisioned and is now available for others to share in Frida's story.
